History

The Quincy Examiner is a website dedicated to the study and exploration of the Quincy, M.E. television series and all characters and situations episodes pertaining to it. It was established in October of 1996 which represents 20-year anniversary from the original Time the show aired on the NBC television network

It was founded by M. T. B. at the computer labs of Hofstra University, New York during the 1991 and 1996 timeframe while he was in college and learning website design. New to Adobe Photoshop 3.0/4.0 at the time and the new feature of desktop web design image layering, the site was originally hosted on the mhv.net and later the inquire.net before finding its permanent home at its present URL - www.quincyexaminer.com.

In October 2020, the site became secured with the HTTPS rather than the traditional HTTP with the traditional https rather than http url call.

At the time the notion was simple - to create a television series website dedicated to the childhood memories of an earlier time when family and friends watched television on one of three networks - ABC, NBC, or FOX in the New York Tri-state area.
