Episode Quote

"People don't just die, Monahan — not like that. When something feels off in the pit of your stomach, it usually is. And I intend to find out why." ~ Dr. Quincy, in Who's_Who_in_Neverland_(Quincy,_M.E.)

Episode Summary

“Who’s Who in Neverland” is the second episode of the first season of Quincy, M.E., originally aired on October 10, 1976, on NBC. In this episode, Quincy investigates a death initially attributed to natural causes, only to uncover signs of possible foul play. His insistence on reexamining the case puts him at odds with bureaucratic authority, especially when a premature cremation is ordered.

Quincy is asked to sign off on the death of a man reported to have died of cirrhosis. Suspicious of the diagnosis and the rush to cremate the body, Quincy delays the process and performs a full autopsy. His findings reveal inconsistencies with the initial cause of death.
